This is where strong foundations are built, before exam pressure begins.
Foundation
Year 3 is our foundation year, where students build all four components properly, at a pace they can absorb and apply.
Most Year 3 students have never been asked to write to a time limit or explain how they reached an answer. We start by building those habits gradually, so that by Year 4, timed work feels familiar rather than overwhelming.
Reading for meaning
Comprehension beyond literal recall, which is where the OC questions live.
Mathematical reasoning
Word problems and number sense, worked aloud and explained back.
Introduction to thinking skills
Logic and pattern questions met early, so they are familiar rather than strange.
